Mat Wilson

Mat Wilson (they/them) is the founder and director of the Disability Torah Project, where they use their skills to uplift and amplify the work of other disabled creators, facilitators and teachers.ย  As a multiply-disabled person, they value access, belonging and representation, and work to help others seeking religious and spiritual community find a home where they can bring their full selves. They are motivated by the belief that every disabled person deserves to participate fully in spiritual life and to have their wisdom honored and celebrated.ย  Mat is currently a student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College; they are completing coursework on a Masterโ€™s in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania. This dual course of study reflects a commitment to guiding communities with spiritual depth. At the same time, it emphasizes the organizational resilience needed to sustain that work.ย  In their free time, Mat enjoys any opportunity to be in water, playing board and video games, and road trips big and small.ย  To donate to the Disability Torah Project and to write with us, click here. ย
