Rabbi David Mevorach Seidenberg

Rabbi David Mevorach Seidenberg is the creator of neohasid.org and the author of Kabbalah and Ecology: God’s Image in the More-Than-Human World (Cambridge). He teaches around the world on issues relating Judaism and Jewish thought to ecology, spirituality, social justice, human rights, animal rights, dance, music, and astronomy. He is also the Shmitah scholar-in-residence at Abundance Farm in Northampton MA. David completed his doctorate and rabbinical training at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, and received a second ordination from Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, the founder of the Jewish Renewal movement. He has been studying and writing about Shmitah for close to 40 years.
