Rabbi Mónica Gomery

Rabbi Mónica Gomery serves as rabbi and music director on the clergy team of Kol Tzedek Synagogue in West Philadelphia, a multiracial, intergenerational Reconstructionist Jewish community where people are invited to study Torah, ask unanswerable questions, engage actively with the neighborhood and care for one another. She was ordained by the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College in 2017. Since 2016, she has taught Talmud and pedagogy as a faculty member at SVARA: A Traditionally Radical Yeshiva, and was a member of the founding leadership team of Let My People Sing! Mónica has published two collections of poetry and has served as a prison chaplain, a geriatric chaplain, and an educator and prayer leader at various Jewish organizations.
