Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon

Eliyahu grew up in an Orthodox Jewish family in Brookline, Mass. At the age of 13, he and his family moved to Israel. Eliyahu decided not to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, choosing instead to study medicine in the United Kingdom. Three years into his degree, he left medicine to pursue a career in film. After earning two degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Eliyahu completed his first feature-length documentary, “Cut: Slicing Through the Myths of Circumcision.” He has since released his second feature-length documentary, “A People Without a Land,” and is co-host of the podcast “Four Cubits.”
